Every year, countless tuners and gearheads throw themselves at the latest iteration of the Mustang, eager to coax every bit of horsepower out of its sturdy powerplant. Graphic designers and artists likewise look at the ‘Stang from every angle, trying to remodel it into a revamped work of art while retaining its sense of identity. There are so many tuner version of the pony car that it’s easy to get distracted and miss which ones are really important. So, your friends here at Swipelife have done your work for you…let us present the Iacocca 45th Anniversary Mustang. Iacocca, an icon in the automotive world, teamed up with Michael Leone of Gaffoglio Family Metalcrafters, to create this beautifully tweaked commemorative Mustang. The body of the Mustang revolves around its “sunken headlights, slanted grill and low stance,” and the integrated exhaust really fits well with the overall design theme. There are two powerplants available: a no-frills 4.6 V8, rated at 320bhp, and a more potent supercharged version that will deliver 400bhp. The interior has been redone as well, sporting Iacocca Diamond Design embroidered leather seats, a leather-wrapped steering wheel, and aluminum door sill plates. The ‘Stang will be offered exclusively at Galpin Ford in SoCal, with only 45 units made available.
