"I'm Nooksack, Squamish, Chinese, French and Scottish, and like a lot of people, I've spent a lifetime traversing traditional race and class boundaries. Even the very first pair of custom shoes I made, which were roughed out with a sharpie, did a much better job of rep'n my complex cultural identity than the checkerboard or skull patters I saw on the shelf."
