"Designed by Brandon Perhacs, the eweCUFF is made from 100% Merino wool felt. The closure uses rare-earth magnets hidden within the stainless steel clasps. The ends of the bracelet snap together instantly and perfectly as soon as they are brought close together, so it is a cinch to put on with one hand. This cuff comes in 3 vibrant colors matched with charcoal gray. It is reversible to show either the color or gray, and the shapes can be worn pushed in or out giving you 4 wearable options.”

Show your love of oranges with this orange slice necklace made by VentoNaPraia. It’s rubber but has a surprisingly realistic texture and orange-like juiciness. If kiwis are more your style, she’s got a kiwi necklace too!

These earrings are unique and one-of-a-kind. They are made from 100% post-consumer recycled skateboard. Skateboards are made of 7 plys of maple wood, some plys are natural and some are coloured. After designing, cutting and sanding part of the skateboard to create these earrings, we then sealed them with a non-toxic clear gloss. Priced at 30.00 USD.” (via DIYthing at Stylehive)

The Radiolaria necklace is made of “silicone rubber cut by waterjet into an organic network of distorting ellipses. The pattern displays shifts in direction and scale, creating a sense of movement and tension. These complex forms recall those of radiolarians, plant cells and even the familiar honey comb. This necklace is formed in one piece and fastens in the back with a sliding mechanism that allows for variable lengths. Silicone rubber is an odorless and heat resistant rubber. Its high tensile strength allows the necklace to recover from both stretching and crushing with no damage.” I’ll take it! Also see the equally cool radiolaria bracelet.

Barbara Cohen’s jewelry designs are anything but ordinary. Each piece combines both natural and synthetic materials to become a hybrid.  There’s both minimalism and decorative embellishment, hard and soft, ancient and modern.  Cohen writes, “Upon seeing my collection of fossil pendants a fellow artist called me an organic perfectionist.” In this seeming contradiction lies the intrigue and the beauty of her series: Mesh, Cocoon, and Stone. Thanks to Stylehiver, fiction, for bookmarking these to the Hive.
