Damien Weighill, an illustrator from London, would like to draw your face. From the site: “Real people don’t read your blog. A fact that I wasn’t made aware of when I signed up for these things; It now seems so obvious. If you are reading this and you do happen to be a real person then why not send me a photo (one which includes your real face) and I will draw a picture of you and post it here to serve as everlasting proof that sometimes facts are wrong.” I’m looking for a photo to send him now!

The work of graffiti artist, Banksy (Robert Banks) is bold and subversive. He’s made a name with large street stencils and graffiti in England. He’s also a successful artist selling work for thousands of pounds, but his identity has been “fiercely guarded”. Apparently, a photo has emerged that perhaps shows the artist at work according to this BBC article. Whether or not we know what he looks like isn’t important. His work is everywhere. See the Flickr Banksy group for over 4,500 photos of his street art taken by people.

It’s good to have great friends. It doesn’t hurt if they’re creative and crafty too. Grungedandy from the UK made this wonderful scrapbook of his photos of London for his friend to cheer her up during her illness. He writes: “the pages are made mostly out of ATC cards I’ve got spare & my special coloured acetate for front & back covers, used my crop-a-dile to make one whole through the lot & a jump ring to keep it all together!” See other interesting bits at Grungedandy at Vox.
