”PicoP is an ultra miniature projection module capable of producing full color, high-resolution images but small enough and low power enough to be embedded directly into mobile devices such as cell phones, portable media players, digital cameras, portable computers and more.” PicoP is a project by Microvision and is not available for consumers yet, but hopefully we’ll see this technology in use within a couple of years. “Wide Open Waiting,” 2007. © Martin-Munoz
"American-Spanish artist couple Walter Martin and Paloma Muñoz from New York have been exploring tiny little dramas from our everyday madness and transformed them into short therapeutic scenes: What started as miniature snow globes a couple of years ago, has now evolved in veritable landscape panoramas that depict the elaborate bleakness of an emotional icy desert populated by all sorts of creatures. A world in everlasting winter, how grim! And at the same time, how funny! PingMag talked to Walter.”

Stylehive member, sunchi, posts these incredible miniature insect sculptures by Mike Libby, a “multi-disciplinary artist who makes highly detailed sculptures, models, collages and drawings. Through diverse materials and methodologies, I explore themes of science, nature, fantasy, history and autobiography; highlighting illogical and acute correspondences between the real and unreal.” Check out the rest of Mike’s collection while you’re at it. Amazing.
