Some of the sculptures contain pieces from up to 3,000 toys and sell for around $20,00 (12,000).

2 Vote(s)

Minjae Lee is a young South Korean artist whose work expresses a semi-disturbing inner tension that is tough to ignore, even if you feel that you'd like to. It draws you in with its powerful colors, halting imagery and clever juxtaposition of beauty, innocence and fragility with brash, loud and aggressive.

1 Vote(s)

The exhibit hosted by the Urban Metamorphoses section of the 2009 Creativity Festival showcases experiences rather than works of art. The curators wished to focus on the activities and transformations of five artists - BROS, ERON, IVAN, NAIS, OZMO - who have characterized Italian street art. Attention is focused on the change of purpose of their art, one that began on the streets and is now shown in galleries throughout Italy and all over the world. The project envisions five private spaces of which each artist takes possession and expresses his or her own artistic experience. The five previously unpublished works have been especially created for the exhibition and are featured in spaces where visitors can go in and listen to the narrations of each artist. Through the event the artists recall one of their many experiences as urban artists, providing brief insight into the evolution of their expression and sending a message out to the next anarchic wave of budding street writers, the street artists of tomorrow.Inside the exhibit will be a section devoted to videos from the repertory of each artist. The exhibition is curated by Michelangelo Petralito, Gianni De Simone, Iolanda Rotiroti and Serena VinattieriDisplay design: Petralito Rotiroti AssociatiVideos: Gianni De SimoneInterviews: StoryvilleCommunication: Serena Vinattieri

2 Vote(s)
