Can't help but think the gold is going to ruin Wifi & Bluetooth reception :(

So I'm not ready to vote for this one, form is great but never at the price of function!!

I guess you COULD maybe somehow turn the whole case into an antenna, maybe that would work. Also, the gold will likely help thermal conductivity, which might be good for the Mac but maybe not for your lap!

BUT it would be a great place to touch to remove static electricity before installing memory chips, etc.
