Better than Goodwill: Knitting w/Recycled T-shirts

This is a purse made by cutting t-shirts into strips and knitting with the "yarn" that results. It's a better use of this fabric, which otherwise ends up overflowing from the thrift stores and landing in third world contries where it destroys local textile industries. It's transformative...an ugly, tacky tshirt is reborn as something cool that someone will love and enjoy. Only the shape has changed...the essential material remains the same but the difference is huge.
