I love when ceramics are used in an innovative way in design. This is an excellent example, found @culturenow.com.

Designer Alexandros Stasinopoulos won an IF concept award for the BRIEFCeramicASE. The ceramic is abrasion and scratch resistant, extremely hard, and of course, smooth to the touch.
