Hiroshi Nakamura & NAP Architects designed a seamless space for the Lotus Beauty Salon in Kuwana City, Japan. The interior of the low and long structure was the primary concern for the architects, who wished to provide private and relaxed environments for each client. Their solution was to divide the space using one continuous low wall to create small niches, making all wall joints rounded to create an ambiguous and "depthless" space.
