For Sony's latest ad campaign, Fallon in London has turned its attention away from colour to focus on sound. To demonstrate this, Seydisfjordur, a small village in Iceland, was filled with speakers and music from the likes of Death In Vegas, Bob Dylan and the Guillemots was played into it for a week.
This film, directed by Juan Cabral, purports to show the results of the sound experiment in the form of an ad. It does beg the question about what scenes were left on the cutting room floor however, with the villagers appearing to relish the sound intrusion in their lives (with the odd expression of surprise), rather than reacting in the angry way one might expect when your village gets taken over by an ad agency...
